from the heart,
can turn a pauper
to a king...
Or cause the lease gifted
with song,
to open up
their mouths and sing.

sweet to the soul, and health to the bones."

Each of us will hopefully aquire many friendships as we walk through life.
We pick our friends and then when we least expect it...they become like family to us.
FRIENDSHIPS are
the fabric we make memories with and carry them like a warm quilt on a cold wintery night.
"A friend loves at all time..." Proverbs 17:17

Overcoming Being Overwhelmed
By
Kate Prado
I see many people who are facing one of life's challenges, only to have something else come behind it and then they are faced with overcoming being overwhelmed with their situation.
It is like the stories you will hear of how a person has a flat tire, pulls their car to the side of the road and then somebody comes along and hits them while they are busy fixing it.
Another example is when we try to "clear the way" in order to take a trip, get a break from our work or just have a cup of tea without a minor or major crises taking place. Next comes the unexpected phone call, the pounding at the door or the dog deciding he will eat the one pair of shoes that goes with the outfit you have taken from your closet to wear to dinner out that night.
When all hell tries to trip you up, those you trusted the most hurt you, or the voice of God seems to have faded into a spiritual black hole, then you need to be quiet. God knew these days would come. He hasn't gone out to a universal pizza parlor and left you alone, but it may feel that way during those dry seasons in our lives.
Psalm 61:1 says it this way. "From the ends of the earth I will cry to you. When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I."
I like getting older. No, not the having to wear glasses when my eyes started to change, or the aches in my joints and bones, but I love what has been learned along the way. One would have to be totally void by living sixty years and not having learned something from the vast experiences encountered from life.
I cherish my relationship with the Lord. He is my rock and my salvation. It is God that I trust, must always trust, because the years have taught me only He will never leave or forsake me. We need not even hold anything against those who have hurt us, because we all hurt someone at one time or another. In our being hurt, or hurting others we know what the psalmist meant by this beautiful verse.
There is One higher than we are. He is there when we are overwhelmed, tired or broken. It does not minimize what our part in the process is, but shows we do not have to do anything alone. In running to the rock, our place of safety, we will survive.
Have you asked Jesus Christ into your life?
He has such a love for you. Don't wait, do it today, for He is the unmovable rock to stand on.
His Warmth
When the seasons change
from the warmth of spring,
and the leaves have fallen,
and no robins sing...
Will you know to
shelter close to Him...
and the warmth
His Word does bring?

because he makes it look so easy!"
